Bath Vanities

Bath vanities come in many types and are even available as vanity sets. With smaller 24 inch bath vanities and double sink bath vanities, many options are available for designing your bathroom or replacing your current vanity. Bath vanities can be both practical and can look like furniture with many storage compartments. From rustic bath vanities to contemporary bath vanities, bath vanities come in many materials and several styles. Conventional cabinet bath vanities are the best option for a large group of people looking to use one bath vanities. While bath vanities and vanity tops can be designed as double sink vanities to accommodate multiple people, bath vanities should be made out of sturdy, durable materials if they’ll be used often by several people. Conventional cabinet bath vanities are made like kitchen cabinets with a framed or frameless construction and are floor mounted with a toe kick. Other types of bath vanities include furniture style vanities. These vanities are typically marble bath vanities or finished wood bath vanities and look like a piece of furniture, such as a chest of drawers or a buffet. These wood and marble bath vanities can sit on the floor like a conventional cabinet bath vanity or it can have legs that raise it above the floor. Other options for this type of vanity include angled bath vanities with a sink at a different angle when installed in the vanity top. A similar type of bath vanity is antique or reproduction bath vanities, which can look like traditional or old rustic bath vanities. These antique bath vanities, however, often require modification to accept a modern sink and plumbing fixtures and need to be strengthened to accept such changes to operate and last. Bath vanities are available in vanity sets, which often include a mirror to match the bathroom vanity. When deciding on a bath vanity set, also measure the available space in your bathroom for the mirror. Mirrors for bath vanities can be as wide as the sink or as wide as the vanity top and for either size, measure the space between the vanity counter and the bathroom ceiling to make sure that the mirror, regardless of width, has enough space in the bathroom. Even in a bath vanity set, the mirror shouldn’t be too large for the bathroom. In addition, consider the size of all other objects in the bathroom when purchasing a mirror, as, if the mirror is too large, it will look disproportionate to all of the other objects. As with bath vanities, the materials for a bathroom mirror to accompany your vanity should be able to handle moisture. In addition, when designing your bathroom for a bath vanity and mirror, bath vanities with a mirror are available in two types: standalone and one piece vanities with the mirror attached to the vanity top and cabinets. |
