Bathroom Vanity Cabinet

With a cabinet below, a bathroom vanity is more than a fancy sink. Because of this, the cabinet gives a bathroom vanity a clear advantage over an ordinary sink fixture. While both run water, the cabinets on a vanity give a bathroom additional storage space. Such additional space to keep cleaning supplies, hair tools, linens, and other items is beneficial to those living in single-bathroom homes and apartments.

A typical bathroom vanity cabinet is designed from hand-carved wood. Contemporary bathroom vanities, however, may have a set made from glass and metal. For a traditional bathroom vanity, the cabinet has one or two doors in front that open to a shelf inside. This two-level storage space offers ample opportunities and convenience for your bathroom. Instead of storing towels in a linen closet, for example, keep them inside a bathroom vanity cabinet. Similarly, if you find that you need to clean the bathroom often, keep some cleaning supplies, such as bleach and a multipurpose cleaner, in the lower level of the cabinet.

For those with strict and elaborate grooming habits, the storage space available in a bathroom vanity cabinet is extremely helpful. Rather than clogging the medicine cabinet up with shavers or placing a hairdryer on a shelf, keep them inside the bathroom vanity cabinet and access them easily in the morning.

Style is just as much of a strong point as practicality for a bathroom vanity, and if you are looking for a fixture that easily blends in with your décor, consider the options available. Cabinets come in angular and rounded shapes, with one or two doors. Most have at least one shelf inside. The wood, as well, may have a dark to light finish. Lighter finishes are often honey-colored or, for an antique look, are painted white, while darker finishes may be the color of espresso.

The top is another aspect to consider for a bathroom vanity cabinet. As granite and light or darker-colored marble are some of the styles available, the wood can contrast with the top – a light marble paired with espresso-finished wood, for example – or can blend in with the stone above.
