Bathroom Vanity

A bathroom vanity is the centerpiece of a bathroom’s design and is often the starting point for designing a bathroom. A bathroom vanity has both style and practicality, with bathroom vanity cabinets providing storage and style and bathroom vanity sinks and vanity tops available in many materials and cuts. Typical designs for bathroom vanity furniture include modern bathroom vanity, contemporary bathroom vanity, rustic bathroom vanity, and antique bathroom vanity styles. Many of these styles are determined by the cut and materials for the bathroom vanity sink, cabinets, and tops. A contemporary bathroom vanity, for example, is typically a glass, stone, and metal bathroom vanity and sink, while a traditional or antique bathroom vanity would be made of wood and a metal or porcelain sink. In addition, other options for adding a vanity to a bathroom include choosing a double bathroom vanity sink or asingle sink bathroom vanity.

One aspect to consider in purchasing a bathroom vanity is the amount of storage space bathroom vanity cabinets will have to offer. Bathroom vanity cabinets may have an ornate façade, but they are often used as storage space for many common bathroom objects and toiletries, including makeup, shaving supplies, hairdryers and flat irons, and bathroom cleaning supplies. As bathroom vanity cabinets vary in size due to the bathroom vanity construction and size, a certain bathroom vanity set may offer more space than others. The size of the bathroom cabinets isn’t the only consideration for the size of a bathroom vanity, however; both plumbing and the depth of the sink are factored into the interior space of bathroom vanity cabinets. In addition, some choose to use a bathroom vanity as a linen closet and, therefore, the bathroom vanity cabinets would need to be large enough to hold folded towels.

Another aspect to consider is who will be using the bathroom vanity and how often. If both adults and children will be using the bathroom vanity, purchasing two separate bathroom vanity sets might be necessary to accommodate the heights of all users. If only one or two people of similar heights will be using the bathroom vanity, then a single sink or double sink bathroom vanity would suit your bathroom’s needs.

The third factor when purchasing a bathroom vanity is the style of the vanity. Although a new bathroom vanity or a vanity in place of a sink can brighten up a drab bathroom, a bathroom vanity set can come in a practical cabinet style, while bathroom vanity furniture can also look much like furniture outside of the bathroom with a marble bathroom vanity top, a wood finish, and wood legs supporting the bathroom vanity sink and cabinets. Decide on your needs first for the bathroom vanity style, as a bathroom vanity set can come as a set with a bathroom vanity mirror, bathroom vanity light, marble top, and ornate trim, or it can be a practical bathroom vanity with a metal bathroom vanity top and cabinet base made to withstand repeated use by several people.
