Double Vanity
|
A double sink vanity is similar to a single sink vanity, only a double sink bathroom vanity has two sinks and two of all other aspects of a bathroom vanity, including two cabinets, faucets, and draining valves. A double sink bath vanity is useful for a bathroom that gets used by multiple people every day, whether a family or a large group of people are using it. While a double bathroom vanity is designed similar to a single sink vanity, including wood cabinets and a variety of top and sink options, a double sink bathroom vanity is going to be, by design, larger, with a longer counter and larger cabinets. One primary difference for a double sink vanity is the sinks available for a double sink bath vanity. A double vanity sink is part of the vanity and, unlike a single sink contemporary vanity with a sink mounted to the wall, double vanity sinks are part of the vanity unit and attached to the cabinets and top. The options for a double vanity sink include vessel sinks, framed sinks, drop-in sinks, under mount sinks, and vanity cabinet style sinks. Vessel sinks sit directly on top of the vanity top and a double vessel vanity has two of these sink bowls on top of the vanity top and cabinets, with a faucet pouring into each vessel sink. For a double vessel vanity, both sink bowls are attached to the top, which is attached to the double vanity cabinet or cabinets that obscure the plumbing for both sinks. A different type of double bathroom vanity sink is a framed sink, which is installed into the counter top and trimmed with metal. For a double sink vanity, this is done to both sinks. Similar to both a vessel sink and a framed sink, a drop-in sink is self rimming and a surface-mounted sink. While the lip of the sink bowl can be just an inch above the counter to several inches, a double sink bathroom vanity will have both drop-in sinks at equal heights above the vanity top, and both drop-in sinks in a double vanity will be attached with a clamp underneath the top. An additional double vanity sink can be an under mount sink, which attaches to the underside of the top and the counter creates an overhang into the sink bowl. |
