A bathroom vanity set and a vanity hutch have many similarities as a combination involving a bathroom vanity and an accompanying mirror. Once advantage to a vanity hutch is the additional storage space, including four small jewelry drawers and smaller cabinets that can surround the singular mirror, although double paneled vanity hutch mirrors don’t have this much additional storage space. With one of our models, the storage space between two arched mirrors includes a single cabinet and two small jewelry drawers. The vanity hutch still has two separate mirrors. For a vanity set, with a mirror that is separate from the vanity chest, the advantage is having more surface area for the mirror and being able to adjust the location of the mirror. The mirrors themselves are larger than those typically found in an average bathroom and, instead of looking around the house for a larger mirror after you style your hair in the morning, one of the mirrors in our vanity sets can show you from the waist upward. A separate mirror doesn’t add additional space to the vanity chest, however, and you’re limited to the spaces included in the multiple drawers and vanity cabinets. For both a vanity set and a vanity hutch, the benefit of a larger size is the additional details that the unit offers. Both the vanity chest and mirror have additional and more detailed hand-carved trim, with the posts of the mirror frame occasionally being carved like columns or with vines extending up the frame. Both the top of the mirror and the top of the vanity chest have additional intricate trim, including many variations on traditional wood-cut trim like vines, flowers, and scalloped edges. In some cases with an accompanying mirror, each mirror panel is designed with a frame and hand-carved trim, so that the mirror panels look like two adjacent mirrors instead of one large unit.
