Larger bathroom vanities are more elaborate than smaller models and have more options for variation. At this length of 60 inches or longer, many of these bath vanities come with the option of being a two-piece vanity set or a vanity hutch. A vanity set has two parts, the vanity chest and a mirror, while a hutch, although having both furniture components, is a two-in-one piece of bathroom furniture, with the mirror attached to the vanity.

The convenience of a vanity hutch is the installation, as it comes in one piece, and the amount of space in a hutch. Unlike a standard bath vanity unit, the hutch contains four additional drawers, called jewelry drawers, which can be used to store a number of smaller objects. However, if you like having a large mirror, or a multi-panel mirror, a vanity hutch typically has a smaller center panel and not the large, three-panel mirror that a two-piece vanity set has. But, in some cases, if a vanity hutch has a beveled mirror, the mirror will be the larger, three-panel style and still attached to the vanity chest.

With these larger vanity sets, the mirrors become larger and more elaborate, as well. Unlike smaller models, in which the mirror is rectangular shaped and has four straight edges, the mirrors accompanying the vanity chests of 60 inches or longer have more variation in their shapes. For example, aside from having beveled edges, a three-panel mirror can have panels with arch-shaped or curved edges.

Aside from the mirrors, vanity hutches can have the same color and finish combinations as smaller models. While some smaller models had a two-tone color scheme, such as a combination of light and dark finished wood, the larger models have a similar color design, with the edges being finished a lighter color and the rest of the wood a darker color, but the mirror, whether attached or separate in a set, will only be finished one color. For example, for a vanity hutch with the color combination Honey Spice and Kaffé, the vanity has both light and dark colors, while the frame of the mirror is the lighter, or Honey, color.
