One type of vanity finish is parchment, which gives the wood an antique look. The finish itself is considered a faux finish, however, as the effect is done with paint or glaze and not an actual clear finish or wood stain. But this type of finish isn’t just limited to bathroom vanities; it can be done to other types of furniture and even the walls of a house to create an antique or aged look. Many of our bath vanities in various sizes have a parchment finish. A parchment finish can have a bone white or off-white appearance to it, although sometimes it can also have yellow undertones to it. But, if you have ever looked at an old piece of manuscript and noticed that the page yellowed with age, the same effect can be done to wood, to give it the appearance of once being white and having aged for several years. Even with our largest single sink vanities, a parchment finish can still be used. In addition, the vanity top, which can match the parchment finish, can come in a number of colors, from natural marble, to cream white, to a beige color. All types are natural marble, and, depending upon the colors used in the décor of your bathroom, one of these lighter color bath vanities should fit in.
